Where Odd Tomes Drop

Odd Tomes come from treasure chests. Per the official Trello, chests spawn across the islands and roll from a pool of Coins, Gems, Rerolls and Odd Tomes when opened.

The farm loop has a twist: opening a chest has a 25% chance to spawn a Mimic, and defeating the Mimic doubles (2x) the drop chance for the chest’s rewards — so a Mimic spawn is good news for Tome hunting, not a nuisance. Full mechanics on the Mimic chest page.

What Odd Tomes Are For

An Odd Tome is the summon item for the Frieren boss: interact with the Elysian Summoner and consume a Tome to spawn the fight. That makes chest-running the gateway to Frieren’s drop table.

Farming Route

Chest spawns are shared server-wide, so sweep island by island and hop servers once a map is picked clean — the same server-hop logic as other ground pickups like Crowbars.
